Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 1 cup Rava
- 1 cup Coconut
- 4 nos Shallots
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Grind coconut, cumin seeds and shallots by adding little water to make a smooth paste.
Step 3
Pour this into semolina. Add salt and little by little water to make a smooth batter like dosa batter. You can blend the whole mixture for a minute in a mixer for best results, for a smooth flowing batter. Do not make the batter too watery.
Step 4
Heat a pan and pour a ladleful of batter to the center of the pan. Begin to spread the batter in sweeping circular motions to form a pancake. Cover the top and cook it it medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
The delicious pathiri is ready. You can have it with any veg or Non.veg Curries.
Tip
Cook on medium-high heat, not scorching hot. You want the bread to puff and develop spots, not burn.
