Ragi Ladoo
A traditional Kerala sweet that balances richness with restraint. Made with jaggery, coconut, and a careful hand, the sweetness is warm rather than overwhelming — the kind of flavour that lingers.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 cup Ragi Panjipullu
- 4 tbsp Ghee
- Sugar, to taste
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp Cashewnut — crushed
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing ragi ladoo, first heat ghee in a pan, add cashew, ragi and fry it.
Step 2
Add sugar powdered and cardamom powder.
Step 3
When cooled, make balls from it.
Step 4
Ragi ladoo is ready.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
