Prawns And Cauliflower In Coconut Milk
Fresh prawn cooked the Kerala way — with coconut, curry leaves, and a tartness that comes from kudampuli or tamarind. Coastal Kerala cooking at its simplest and best.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 250 g Cauliflower [flowerets]
- 20 nos Prawns medium size
- 3 nos Onions cut in square
- 2 nos Tomatoes — chopped
- 2 nos Green chillies — finely chopped
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- 2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 4 cup Coconut milk
- 3 tsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
- Green coriander to garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a flat pan and add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
Step 2
Add tomatoes and sauté.
Step 3
Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, ginger- garlic paste and cook till oil separates.
Step 4
Add cauliflower, cook until bit cook.
Step 5
Add prawns and salt Stir for a while.
Step 6
Add 1/2 cup of water, keep lid and cook till prawns half cooked.
Step 7
Add coconut milk, garam masala powder, green chillies and cook till the gravy become thick.
Step 8
Garnish with green coriander. :-Delicious Prawns and Cauliflower cooked in coconut milk is ready. :-Serve the Prawns and Cauliflower in Coconut Milk with boiled rice or Roties.
Tip
