Potato Vada Recipe
Mashed potato mixed with soaked bread and rolled out into vadas.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1/2 cup Cooked and mashed potato
- 1/4 cup Onion — minced
- Ginger A small piece — minced
- 2 nos Green chillies — minced
- 1/2 cup Bread — soaked in water and squeezed out
- Oil As reqd — for frying
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing potato vada recipe, first Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook minced onion, ginger, green chillies to a golden brown color.
Step 2
Stir in mashed potato, squeezed out bread and required salt. Stir everything together thoroughly and cook in low heat.
Step 3
Roll out the entire mixture into lime sized balls and flatten them.
Step 4
Heat sufficient oil in a frying pan and deep the potato vadas to a golden brown color.
Step 5
Potato vada recipe, a Nutritious tea-time snack is ready. Serve hot.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
