Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 3 nos Potato
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 2 tsp Yellow split peas (Thuvaraparippu)
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Coriander leaves, a few
- Mustard Seeds, a few
- 2 nos Dry red chillies
- Curry leaves, a few
- 1 small Ginger
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the potato, onion,green chillies, yellow split peas(thuvaraparipppu), turmeric powder and salt together in a preassure cooker.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a tawa, let the mustard seeds crackle, add dry red chillies, ginger, curry leaves.
Step 3
Pour the cooked vegetables to the tawa. Garnish the potato curry with chopped coriander leaves.
Step 4
Serve potato curry hot with dosa or poori or chapathi.the easy kerala style potato curry.
Tip
Coconut oil and curry leaves at the very end, off the heat, give the curry its characteristic Kerala aroma. Never skip this final step.
