Pineapple Payasam
Pineapple payasam is different from normal payasams.Pine apple payasam is a South Indian payasam made with pineapple,coconut milk and sugar.Pine apple payasam is easy and quick to prepare.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 2. cup Pineapple — finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Sago chouvari
- 1/2 cup Sugar adjust according to ur choice
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 cup Second coconut milk
- 1/2 cup First coconut milk
- Yellow colour mix into 2 tsp of water
- 1/2 Tin Condensed milk
- Of salt, a pinch
Preparation
Step 1
Cook sago in 2 cups of water and set aside.
Step 2
Cook pineapple in little water.Add sugar,yellow colour and cook it, stirring for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the cooked sago to the pineapple paste. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Add coconut (second)milk,salt and cardamom powder. Mix and boil.Stir continously.
Step 5
When it starts to boil, add first milk and condensed milk. Stir everything together thoroughly and turn off the heat.
Step 6
Pineapple payasam is ready to serve. Enjoi.
Tip
Never rush the milk reduction by increasing the heat. Scorched milk adds a bitter undertone that ruins the entire payasam.
