Peppery Duck Recipe
Duck pieces mixed with pepper, salt, other ingredients and cooked in a pressure cooker.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 500 g Duck — cut into medium sized pieces
- 1 nos Potato cubed, small
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1/4 cup Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing peppery duck recipe, first Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and stir in turmeric, pepper powder and required salt.
Step 2
When you feel a nice aroma coming, add duck pieces, vinegar and curry leaves.
Step 3
Stir everything together thoroughly in low heat so that the duck pieces are well coated with pepper and salt.
Step 4
Stir in cubed potatoes and half cup of water.
Step 5
Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles and remove from fire.
Step 6
A And traditional peppery duck recipe, is ready. Serve hot with rice, chappathi etc.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
