Pavakka Maanga Curry(bitter Gourd With Mango Curry
Pavakka maanga curry is a tasty bitter less bitter gourd curry.its an excellent side dish with rice.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 Bitter gourd
- 2 Onion
- 3 Tomato
- 3 Green chilly
- 1 Raw mango
- 1/2 tsp Mustard
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 2 cup Water
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the bitter gourd in 2 cup of water with tomato,green chilly,raw mango,chilly powder,turmeric powder and salt to taste.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a vessel and add mustard in it.when the mustard starts allow to crackleing add onion and cook it, stirring until it becomes smooth and brown in colour.
Step 3
Mix the cooked bitter gourd in it and cook it, stirring again for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
Serve it.
Tip
Coconut oil and curry leaves at the very end, off the heat, give the curry its characteristic Kerala aroma. Never skip this final step.
