Palayam Kodan Appam-Easy Appam Recipe
This Palayam Kodan appam is a quick appam which you can make for any special occasions. It just needs a handful of ingredients and the appam turns out to be so soft.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 5 Palayam Kodan pazham Mysore banana
- 1 cup Raw rice soaked overnight
- 250 Jaggery
- Salt pinch
- Cardamom 1/2 tssp
- Oil — for frying
- 2 Tbsn Maida
Preparation
Step 1
Grind soaked rice and jaggery water into a smooth semi thick paste.
Step 2
Add bananas and grind well.
Step 3
Pour into a large bowl and add maidha,cardamom powder and a pinch of salt.Fold everything together gently.
Step 4
Heat oil and rop the batter little by little and fry in hot oil over a medium flame until the color changes into golden brown.
Step 5
Soft and Palayam Kodan Appam is ready.
Tip
A well-seasoned appachatti is worth the investment. The appam should release from the pan without any resistance.
