Nadan Thenka Chammanthy

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 Cupgrated Coconut
- 2 Onion
- 4 Chilly
- 6 Curry leaves
- 2 tsp Yellow split peas
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 3 Red chilly
- 2 tsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixer first grind coconut,onions,yellow split peas,green chilly and salt.
Step 2
Add some water and ground to a smooth chutney.
Step 3
Warm the oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.When mustards allow to crackles add red chilly and curry leaves.
Step 4
Remove from fire and add to coconut paste.Mix all together.
Step 5
Next let it bubble for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Now nadan thenga chammanthi is ready to serve.

The binding point is everything — cook the mixture just until it holds shape when pressed. Overcooked, it turns hard; undercooked, it crumbles.
