Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Small onion
- 5 Green chillies
- 1 Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it add onions and green chilies.
Step 2
Let it cook for 5 minutes until it goes golden brown.
Step 3
In another kadai fry grated coconut till golden brown.
Step 4
Add chilly powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder to this coconut and fry until it becomes golden color.
Step 5
Then grind it in a mixer.
Step 6
Next, add this ground mix to the sauted onions.
Step 7
Add 1 cup water to this and add salt.let it bubble for 3 minutes.
Step 8
Now nadan ullitheeyal is ready to serve.

The binding point is everything — cook the mixture just until it holds shape when pressed. Overcooked, it turns hard; undercooked, it crumbles.
