Nadan Parippu Vada
A tasty mouthwatering styled snack cherished greatly during evenings with a cup of hot chai. These crunchy vadas ignite a nostalgic experience and memory.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 11/2 cup Chana dal Kadala parippu
- 2 nos Onion — chopped
- 4 nos Dry chillies — chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies — chopped
- 1 tsp Feneel seeds (crushed (Perumjeerakam)
- Coriander leaves Few(chopped
- Curry leaves Few(chopped
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious snack, first soak dal in water for 5 hours.
Step 2
Just give a pulse in blender. Do not add water in it.
Step 3
Pour dal into a vessel. Add onion, dry chillies, green chilies, fennel seeds, curry leaves, coriander and salt. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Heat the oil in pan(enough to dip the vada and fry).
Step 5
Wet hands and make balls out of mixture. Slightly press with hands and fry it in oil.
Step 6
It should turn dark color.
Step 7
The traditional snack dish is ready.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
