Naadan Mango Pachadi
Sweet, rich, and deeply satisfying — this is the snack that shows up at every Kerala celebration, temple festival, and Onam Sadya. Made with jaggery, coconut, and patience.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Cleaned and sliced raw mango : 1 cup
- Curd : ½ cup
- Scrapped coconut : 1 cup
- Green chilli : 5 nos
- Mustard : 1 tsp
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixer, grind the scrapped coconut, mango, green chilli,salt and required quantity of water.
Step 2
When the mix is grinded well add curd and stir it well, the mango pachadi is ready.
Step 3
The Mango pachadi can be served with dosa, rice etc.
Tip
The binding point is everything — cook the mixture just until it holds shape when pressed. Overcooked, it turns hard; undercooked, it crumbles.
