Moru Koottan
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 1/4 kg Raw bananasYamPineapple
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 1/2 litre Curd
- 2 12 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)
- 10 nos Pepper corns
- Mustard seeds, to taste
- 4 nos Whole red chillies (Kollamulaku)
- 12 nos Curry leaves
Preparation
Step 1
Boil the vegpineapple in water alogn with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Step 2
Once its cooked to perfection, add grounded coconut, curd, jeera and pepper corns to the cooking pot & Bring to a gentle boil.
Step 3
Season the curry with coconut oil, mustard, whole chillies and curry leaves.
Step 4
You need to grind grated coconut, jeera and pepper corns in a medium sour curd to make this recipe With hot rice. :- Easy to make in 10-15 minutes.
