Moloshyam
A classical vegetarian Kerala dish made with dal and vegetables.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 cup Red gram (Thuvaraparippu)
- Yellow Pumpkin(Mathanga
- Potato
- 1 cup Bringal/Eggplant
- 4 nos Green chillies — slit
- Curry leaves, to taste
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Pressure cook dhal with water and turmeric powder.
Step 2
Add vegetables, 2 cups of water and green chillies to the dal.
Step 3
No chilly powder required for this curry.
Step 4
Cook till the vegetables are done.
Step 5
Turn off the heat and add curry leaves and coconut oil.
Step 6
Just pour the tea spoon of oil over the hot dish and curry leaves. No seasoning with mustard is required.
Step 7
Goes well with rice and pappadam.
Tip
