Khus With Pineapple
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 1 tbsp Khus syrup
- 1 tsp Lime juice
- Club soda to fill glass
- 1/2 tsp Salt and Pepper
- Pineapple A few — cut into small pieces
- Ice — crushed
Preparation
Step 1
Pour khus syrup in a glass.
Step 2
Add lime juice, crushed ice, salt, pepper and pineapple pieces into it.
Step 3
Tilt the glass and gently pour club soda. Serve.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
