Kerala Rava Kesari

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Semolina Bombay rava
- 3/4 cup Melted ghee
- 2 cup Boiling water
- 1 Dessert Milk
- 1 pinch Yellow food colour
- 11/2 - Sugar
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder (Elakka)
- 1/2 cup Cashewnuts split into half
- 1/4 cup Raisins Onakkamunthiri
Preparation
Step 1
For prepared the South Indian sweet dish, first heat ghee and lightly brown semolina. This will prevent semolina from sticking together.
Step 2
Pour 2 cups of boiling water.
Step 3
Stir constantly on medium heat.
Step 4
When it thickens, add sugar and stir again.
Step 5
Add colour mixed with milk, cashew and raisins.
Step 6
Sprinkle cardamom powder and keep stirring.
Step 7
When the sugar has melted and the kesari is semi solid, remove from fire.
Step 8
This will harden after cooling.the nutritious sweet dish. This sweet dish is a complete dessert, very filling to your tummy.
