Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 cup Green gram Cheruparippu
- 3 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tsp Ghee
Preparation
Step 1
Fry the lentils slightly in a pan.
Step 2
Boil 3 cups of water.
Step 3
Add the washed lentils and turmeric powder.
Step 4
When it boils, lower the flame.
Step 5
When the lentil is cooked well, add salt and ghee.
Step 6
Stir everything together thoroughly and remove from fire.
Tip
Taste the gravy before adding the main ingredient. It should be well-seasoned and balanced on its own — the protein or vegetable will dilute it slightly.
