Kerala Chicken Fry
Kerala chicken fry is a tangy, spicy, and hot and utterly irresistible. It is also an easy and simple dish that will have your guests licking their fingers. Chicken is marinated with masalas, deep fried in oil and served with Sliced Onions and a wedge of Lemon.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 1 kg Chicken
- 3 tbsp Chilly powder
- 3 tbsp Pepper powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 2 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Garam masala
- Ginger garlic paste - 4 tbsp
- 3 tbsp Curd
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 cup Oil
- Salt, to taste
- Water A little
Preparation
Step 1
Clean and cut the chicken into medium sizes.
Step 2
Mix the whole ingredients well and make a thick paste.
Step 3
Apply this paste to chicken and keep it for one to three hours.
Step 4
Pour oil into a pan and heat it.
Step 5
Put the chicken into it.
Step 6
Reduce the heat to medium level and fry till dark brown in color. Serve hot.
Tip
Bone-in chicken gives a richer, more flavourful gravy than boneless. The marrow flavours the curry as it cooks.
