Kerala Beef Chilli
There is no shortcut to good Kerala beef. The spices are toasted, the shallots are browned, and the meat is given the time it needs to become tender and deeply flavoured.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 3/4 kg Beef
- 15 nos Green chilly
- Curry leaves One hand full
- 1 tbsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tbsp Garlic — chopped
- 1 tbsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powdee
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala
- 3 tbsp Corn flour
- Salt, to taste
- Oil — for frying
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Cut beef into thin strip's.The length of the slice should be medium.Soak it in salt water for 15 minutes.Wash thoroughly using vinegar and salt,then wash well and strain.
Step 2
In a bowl add all the powdered masala and vinegar.
Step 3
Add beef pieces and Stir everything together thoroughly still all the masalas are well coated in each pieces.Then close the bowl and keep it in refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Step 4
Then Heat the oil in a kadai and fry the beef pieces.Fry the entire pieces in 3-4 batches.
Step 5
Keep the fried beef in a bowl.
Step 6
Then heat 2 tbsp oil in the same kadai and add crushed ginger garlic,curry leaves and sliced green chilly,Continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame.
Step 7
Add fried beef and Stir everything together thoroughly.take it off the heat.
Step 8
And delicious.
Tip
Thin strips cook faster and develop more crispy surface area than thick cubes. Cut against the grain for tenderness.
