Kadala Pathiri/Chana Dal Cake
Kadal pathiri/Chana dal cake is a snack of malabar.its a healthy cake which is made of lentils and egg which is slow cooked in pan instead of baking in oven.its good for kids who dont eat egg and lentils.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 cup Chana dal/ kadala parippu
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 10 Raisins&cashew nuts
- 4 Egg
- 2 tbsp Ghee
Preparation
Step 1
Gather all the ingredient and set aside.
Step 2
In a blender add all the ingredients except ghee.blend till all gets mixed well.
Step 3
Heat a non-stick cake pan,spread ghee on all the sides.pour in the mixture,keep covered on low heat for 20-25 minutes(till cooked).
Step 4
Cut into pieces and serve.
Tip
Brush with butter or ghee immediately after taking it off the griddle — the hot surface absorbs it instantly.
