Hot Chicken Soya Fry
Slow-roasted in coconut oil with a generous hand of spices, this chicken fry develops layers of flavour as it dries out on the pan. The patience pays off — every piece is coated and concentrated.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 kg Chicken — sliced
- 2 nos Onion — diced
- 1 tbsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 3 Cloves Garlic — chopped
- 1 tbsp Dalda
- 1 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1/2 cup Tomato — chopped
- 8 nos Dry red chillies — chopped
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing hot chicken soya fry, marinate the cleaned chicken pieces with salt, soy sauce and chilly powder.
Step 2
Set aside for 1 hour.
Step 3
Cook chicken and set aside(water should be evaporated).
Step 4
Heat dalda in a pan and fry onion, ginger, garlic and dry chillies.
Step 5
Add cooked chicken pieces in it and fry well.
Step 6
Add tomato and fry the chicken till dry.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
