Ground Beef Cutlet
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 500 g Beef — ground
- 150 g Onion
- 50 g Ginger garlic paste
- 50 g Green chillies
- 200 g Potatoes
- 10 g Fennel powder (Perinjeerakam)
- 10 g Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- Curry leaves Few sprigs
- Salt, to taste
- Oil — for frying
Preparation
Step 1
Warm the oil in a pan.
Step 2
Add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves and sautT till it gets cooked.
Step 3
Add ginger garlic paste and all the masala.
Step 4
Add minced beef and sautT it.
Step 5
Add mashed potatoes, Stir everything together thoroughly and shape it in the form of cutlets.
Step 6
Deep-fry till it goes golden brown.
Step 7
Serve while still hot with sauce or ketchup.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
