Fish Fry(Meen) Easy
A proper Kerala fry — fish tossed with shallots, curry leaves, and ground spices until each piece is dry, dark, and packed with heat. The coconut oil is not optional.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 4 nos Fish pieces
- Ginger, to taste
- Garlic, to taste
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Coconut oil for fish fry
Preparation
Step 1
Make a paste of the ingredients mentioned.
Step 2
Clean the fishes and marinate it with the paste.
Step 3
Leave it for about 30 minutes or more.
Step 4
Pan-fry the fish in oil.
Step 5
Fish Fry is ready.
Step 6
Serve fish fry hot with rice.
Tip
Coconut oil is not optional in a Kerala fry. It adds a flavour that no other oil can replicate.
