Egg Dosa - Non Vegetarian Breakfast
Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle — this egg dosa - non vegetarian breakfast is a breakfast staple across Kerala. The batter comes together quickly and the dosa cooks in under a minute on a hot tawa.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 3 cup Dosa Batter : 2
- Eggs : 2 nos
- Tomatoes : ½ cup — sliced
- Green Chilli : 1 tsp — sliced
- Onion : ½ cup — sliced
- Red Chilli / Pepper Powder : 2 tsp
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the frying pan apply some oil on it and then pour some dosa batter (subject to the size and thickness required) on the frying pan and spread it in round shape.

Then apply the egg mix on the dosa surface using a spoon and spread it well and add 1 - 2 tsp of oil / ghee on top of the egg mix.

After about 5 minutes turn the dosa to other side also to cook well and then take it out of the frying pan.

Serve it for break-fast / dinner with chutney / pickle. It is a delicious and healthy food and also very easy to prepare.

Note :- Break the eggs and crush it with the sliced tomatoes, green chilli and onion adding half-a-teaspoon salt (preferably using a blender or spoon) and keep the mix separately.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
