Easy Dal Curry
A deeply satisfying easy dal curry simmered slowly with freshly ground spices and coconut. The kind of gravy that thickens as it rests and rewards patience with layered, rounded flavour.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 200 g Dal
- 1 nos Tomato
- 1/2 Of Onion
- 4 nos Beans
- 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 3 nos Dry red chilly
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 nos Carrot
- 2 nos Green chilly
- Curry leaves, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the veggies.
Step 2
Cook the daal with carrot, tomato, green chilly, beans, onion, masala, salt and water as needed.
Step 3
Pour oil into a pan and heat it. allow to crackle mustard and cook red dry chillies.
Step 4
Add the above tempering into the curry.
Tip
Let the curry rest for at least 15 minutes after cooking — the flavours deepen as it sits. Reheated curry almost always tastes better than fresh.
