Easy Curd Curry
A dish very popular in Kerala that goes well with hot rice. Easy Curd Curry in other words, is basically thick yogurt seasoned with spicy ingredients. unique and tasty with thick creamy curd blended with aromatic ingredients.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Curd
- 1 nos Onion
- 2 nos Garlic cloves
- Salt, to taste
- 3 Pinches Turmeric powder
- 3/4 Spoon Red chilly powder
- Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves, a few
- Coconut oil
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Easy Curd Curry, first Heat the oil in a pan.
Step 2
Let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 3
Add onions and fry till it becomes lightly browned. Once onion is fried, add the garlic and cook, stirring often, for a few minutes until the raw smell is gone.
Step 4
Add curry leaves and fry.
Step 5
Add salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder.
Step 6
Keep the flame low and fry for a while and add curd. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 7
Cook on low heat for 1 1/2 minutes.
Step 8
Easy curd curry is ready.
Tip
For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered on medium heat for the last few minutes. For a thinner consistency, add a splash of warm water.
