Delicious & Very Tasty Lemon Jelly Cake
Old-fashioned Kerala sweetmaking — no shortcuts, no substitutes. Jaggery, ghee, and coconut come together through slow cooking and patience into something far greater than the sum of their parts.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- Egg : 3 nos
- Sugar : 3 tsp
- Salt : a pinch
- Flour : 3 tsp
- Lemon jelly Powder : ½ Packet (can use any other flavor also
- Ghee / Oil : 1 tsp
Preparation
Step 1
Beat the eggs together with sugar.
Step 2
Stir everything together thoroughly the flour and jelly powder with salt.
Step 3
Fold this to the egg-sugar mixture.
Step 4
Enter Step.
Step 5
Pour to a deep, oiled, non-stick pan and Continue cooking for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat, lid closed.
Step 6

Step 7
Lemon jelly cake is ready.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
