Delicious Squid Fry
Slow-roasted in coconut oil with a generous hand of spices, this fish fry develops layers of flavour as it dries out on the pan. The patience pays off — every piece is coated and concentrated.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 500 g Squid
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Fish masala
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate squid with chilly powder, turmeric and fish masala for 1 hr.
Step 2
Boil squid with water. Once cooked, heat a tawa and fry squid in simmer flame for 30 minutes.
Step 3
You may also fry in hot oil as per your taste.
Step 4
Season it with fried curry leaves.
Tip
The final handful of curry leaves should go in right at the end, off the heat — they should crackle and crisp in the residual heat.
