Crab Curry With Coconut Milk
This is a rich coconut flavoured crab Curry recipe that I learned from my mom.This is also one of of my favorite preparation of crab that goes well with steamed rice,chappathi etc.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Crab 250 g
- 2 small Onions
- 2 Chilly
- Ginger 1 tsp — crushed
- Garlic 1 tbsp — crushed
- Turmeric powder 1 ts
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 1/4 tsp GarmMasala
- Coriander leaves, a few
- Curry leaves, a few
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Gather and prep all your ingredients before you begin.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a vessel and add crushed ginger,garlic and chopped green chilly and stir for a few seconds.
Step 3
Next, add sliced onion and cook for five minutes.
Step 4
When the onion turns soft,add crab and all powders.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water and let it go for 10-15 minutes in medium flame.
Step 6
Pour one cup thick coconut milk and curry leaves.
Step 7
When it starts boil add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
Step 8
Crab curry with coconut milk is ready.
Tip
Let the curry rest for at least 15 minutes after cooking — the flavours deepen as it sits. Reheated curry almost always tastes better than fresh.
