Chocolate Balls - Rich
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 1 cup Marie Biscuits — powdered
- 1 cup Coconut powder
- 1 cup Drinking chocolate
- 1 cup Condensed milk
- 1 cup Cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp Margarine
- Chocolate vermicelli, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, take powdered Marie biscuits, coconut powder, drinking chocolate, condensed milk, cocoa powder and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 2
Add vanilla essence and margarine & mix once again.
Step 3
Roll into smooth round balls.
Step 4
Roll it in chocolate vermicelli.
Step 5
Or you may add rum or tooti frooti, while mixing the batter.
Step 6
Note: You can also add rum, nuts, tooti frooti to this mixture, if you want variations.
Tip
Grinding spices fresh makes a noticeable difference. Pre-ground powders lose their punch within weeks. Buy whole, toast lightly, and grind as you need.
