Chickpeas Yogurt Gravy

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 11/2 cup Chickpeas cooked, Kadala
- 1 tbsp Fresh cream
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 1/2 tsp Gharam masala
- 11/4 tsp Garlic — crushed
- 2 nos Green chilly
- 4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Coriander leaves — chopped
- Sugar A pinch
- Pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing chickpeas yogurt gravy, blend together chickpeas, water and required salt. Set aside.
Step 2
Get a fry in hot oiling pan and cook onions, green chilly, gharam masala and grated garlic.
Step 3
Add the blended paste, yogurt, salt & water into it and let it bubble for 3 more minutes. Keep stirring.
Step 4
Add salt, sugar and pepper.
Step 5
Garnish with coriander and fresh cream.
Step 6
Chickpeas yogurt gravy is ready.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
