Chicken With Spring Onion
Taste the difference of chicken in spring onion & capsicum gravy.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 2 cup Onion medium squarely — diced
- 3/4 cup Capsicum squarely — sliced
- 1/4 cup Ginger — finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Garlic — finely chopped
- 3/4 cup Spring onion — finely chopped
- 3 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Pepper powder
- 3/4 cup Tomato — chopped
- Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Pepper powder
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the chicken pieces with the ingredients for marination.
Step 2
Small pieces of chicken tastes good.
Step 3
Refrigerate it for an hour.
Step 4
Pan-fry the chicken pieces.
Step 5
Gets fully cooked in the gravy.
Step 6
Cook the onion in the same oil.
Step 7
Do not let it turn brown.
Step 8
Add ginger and garlic.
Step 9
When it gets sauteed, add all the powders one by one.
Step 10
Cook it, stirring for about 2 minutes.
Step 11
Add tomato slices into it and Give it a stir now and then.
Step 12
Add spring onion and capsicum one by one. cook well.
Step 13
Pour 1/2 cup boiled water.
Step 14
When it simmers, add the fried chicken pieces.
Step 15
When it simmers, keep the flame low.
Step 16
Let the chicken get fully cooked.
Tip
Bone-in chicken gives a richer, more flavourful gravy than boneless. The marrow flavours the curry as it cooks.
