Chicken Pan Squares
Most of the malabar dishes are chicken based and spiced and fried to get its rich texture and taste.Chicken Pan Squares are one of them,you could make it with mutton or beef,but here i made it with chicken.It is easy snack,chicken masala stuffed tasty snack.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 250 g Chicken
- 11/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Garam masala pinch
- 1 cup Maida
- 3 Egg
- 3 Onion
- 3 Green chilly
- 1 tsp Ginger grlic paste
- Curry leaves, a few
- Coriander leaves, a few
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate the chicken pieces in red chilly powder,turmeric powder,salt and fry in hot oil it in hot oil.
Step 2
Mince the fried chicken pieces and set aside.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a vessel,add onion,salt and cook until golden brown.
Step 4
Add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilly and cook again for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add minced chicken,garam masala,3/4 tsp turmeric powder,coriander leaves,curry leaves and Fold everything together gently and take it off the heat after 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Mix maida, 1 egg,salt to taste with enough water to make a smooth batter.
Step 7
Make small dosas out of it and add 2 tsp chicken filling and fold just like in the figure.
Step 8
Beat 3 eggs with a pinch of salt.
Step 9
Dip each chicken filled square shaped dosas in egg mixture,heat a non stick pan and fry the both sides.
Step 10
Chicken pan square is ready to serve.
Tip
Marinate for at least 30 minutes if you can — the spices penetrate deeper and the chicken stays juicier.
