Chicken Bread Pakoda
Crispy, golden, and gone before they cool down — these fried snacks are the kind of thing that appears with evening tea and disappears within minutes. Best eaten hot, right out of the oil.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1/2 cup Boneless Chicken bites
- 1 cup Gram flour
- 2 cup Bread crumbs
- 1 nos Onion — finely chopped
- 2 tsp Red chilly powder
- Salt, as needed
- Coriander leaves, a few — chopped
Preparation
Step 1
First, cook the washed and drained chicken bits in a small vessel adding a pinch of turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilly powder, required salt and little water. Drain the water completely. Fry the chicken bits in little oil to a golden brown color.
Step 2
Meanwhile, mix gram flour with a pinch of salt, remaining red chilly powder and very little water.
Step 3
Add chopped onion into it.
Step 4
Add fried chicken bits and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 5
Add bread crumbs and mix slowly. Do not mix it for long time.
Step 6
Now its ready to fry.
Step 7
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil and fry small balls of the pakoda mix until golden brown.
Step 8
Chicken Bread Pakodas are ready.
Tip
Bone-in chicken gives a richer, more flavourful gravy than boneless. The marrow flavours the curry as it cooks.
