Chicken Balls
A robust chicken preparation where the meat absorbs a pounding of Kerala spices and slow-cooked onions. The curry leaves and coconut oil make it unmistakably from this part of the world.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- Chicken breast half kg
- Onion 1
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Green chilly 4
- Egg 1
- Bread, to taste
- Tomato sauce 1 table spoon
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper powder 2 tsp
Preparation
Step 1
Cook chicken using salt and pepper powder.
Step 2
When its cooked, turn off the heat and drain off excess water.
Step 3
Grind it using a mixer.
Step 4
Grind the bread using mixer.
Step 5
Then to the grinded chicken pour the small sliced onion,green chilly,ginger and garlic.
Step 6
Mix it well.
Step 7
Add egg and little olive oil (coconut oil).
Step 8
Give it a good stir.
Step 9
Pour sauce.
Step 10
Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 11
Pour little of the bread crushed to it.
Step 12
Mix it well and make small balls of the chicken and cover it with the remaining bread crushed.

Cover it well.
Step 14
Mix all ball with the bread.
Step 15
Heat a kadai or pan heat oil to fry in hot oil.
Step 16
When its hot add the balls one by one.
Step 17
Make it to law flame.
Step 18
When its brown and get cooked.
Step 19
Get it out.
Step 20
Serve while still hot with tomato sauce.
Step 21
Its very And crunchy snack.
Tip
Bone-in chicken gives a richer, more flavourful gravy than boneless. The marrow flavours the curry as it cooks.
