Carrot With Cocoa In Microwave
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 4 tbsp Cocoa
- 11/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Bournvita
- 1 tbsp Badam Essence
- 11/2 cup Carrot — grated
- 1 cup Condensed milk
- 1 cup Butter melted
- 4 tbsp Walnut
- 4 tbsp Raisins
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/2 tsp Soda bi carbonate
Preparation
Step 1
First mix ingredients: condensed milk, sugar, carrot, walnut, raisins and vanilla essence in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in high mode for 1 minute.
Step 2
Remove the bowl from oven.
Step 3
Sieve together maida, soda bi carbonate and cocoa powder.
Step 4
Slowly, stir in maida mixture into the bowl and Stir everything together thoroughly using a hand mixer.
Step 5
Place the bowl back into the microwave and Let it cook for 6 minutes in 80% power.
Step 6
Switch off microwave and allow the bowl to stand in microwave for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Carrot with cocoa in microwave, a Recipe, is ready.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
