Carrot Halwa Easy
A traditional Kerala sweet that balances richness with restraint. Made with jaggery, coconut, and a careful hand, the sweetness is warm rather than overwhelming — the kind of flavour that lingers.

- Carrot : 2 cups (grated
- Sugar : 1 ½ cup
- Milk : 1 ½ cup
- Ghee : ½ cup
- Cashewnuts, a few
- Almonds : few (crushed
- Pista : few (crushed
- Cardamom powder : ½ tsp
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Carrot Halwa Easy, grate the carrots and set aside.
Step 2
In a pressure cooker, add 2 tsp ghee. Fry the carrots in it for about 2 minutes. Add milk to it and pressure cook the carrots. (1 or 2 whistle). Heat a non stick kadai, transfer the carrot into it. Add sugar and mix.
Step 3
Let it boil till it become thick consistency. Add ghee and Stir everything together thoroughly. Add cardamom powder, all the nuts and Stir everything together thoroughly. When it is thick in consistency remove from fire.
Step 4
Garnish Carrot Halwa Easy with nuts above. Halwa is ready.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
