Bun Poori
A sweet and salty delicacy prepared from Maida flour. Served as tea time snacks, Bun Poori make an excellent combo with hot chai.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 kg Allpurpose flour Maida
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Black pepper — powdered
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 cup Curd
- Coconut oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Bun Poori, mix together maida, curd, sugar, pepper powder and salt.
Step 2
Knead it to make a dough. Set aside for 3 hours.
Step 3
Make small balls off the dough.
Step 4
Roll them out in the shape of small pooris.
Step 5
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil or a kadai on a low flame.
Step 6
Fry the Bun Poories, till they goes golden brown.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
