Brocolli Coconut Milk Curry
A traditional Kerala curry where coconut simmers gently in a spiced coconut gravy until every piece soaks up the flavours. The curry leaves and raw coconut oil finish add that characteristic Kerala fragrance.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 nos Broccoli — chopped
- 1 nos Onion — sliced
- 1 piece Ginger — grated
- 3 Cloves Garlic — chopped
- 1 nos Cinnamon stick (Karugapatta)
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing brocolli coconut milk curry, fry onion and cinnamon stick in oil.
Step 2
Add ginger and garlic.
Step 3
Add coriander and chilly powder.
Step 4
Add broccoli and cook well.
Step 5
Add the coconut milk and make it a masala. Broccoli coconut milk curry is ready.
Tip
For a thicker gravy, cook uncovered on medium heat for the last few minutes. For a thinner consistency, add a splash of warm water.
