Bread Idly
Crushed bread is mixed with semolina, curd and other ingredients to make a smooth batter which is finally steamed as idlis.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 8 nos Bread slices
- 1 ½ Semolina
- ½ cup Curd
- ½ Of Onion — chopped
- 1 nos Green chillies — chopped
- 1 nos Capsicum — chopped
- ½ cup Carrot — grated
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing bread idly, first powder the bread slices in mixer. Set aside.2)Mix semolina, curd and salt. Keep it for 15 minutes.3)After 15 minutes, mix capsicum, carrot, green chillies, onion, bread and semolina mixture.4)Add little water to make a thick batter.
Step 2
Pour this mixture in a idly mould and steam Let it cook for 8 minutes in idly steamer.6)Delicious bread idlies are ready.Serve hot with chutney.
