Beef Fry - Mouth Watering
Pan-fried until the edges go dark and crispy, this beef fry is the kind of dish you eat standing in the kitchen before it ever reaches the table. Dry-roasted with spices and finished with a fistful of curry leaves.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 1/2 kg Beef
- 2 nos Onion
- 1 large Ginger
- 10 nos Garlic
- 4 nos Green chilli
- 3 nos Curry leves
- 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Masala Powder
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Clean the beef well and dry well.
Step 2
Add green chilli, ginger, garlic (5nos), curry leves,chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and cook beef in a pressure cooker.
Step 3
Boil oil and fry onion & garlic (half) well and add masala powder and pepper powder.
Step 4
Add cooked beef with it and fry well.
Tip
Pressure cooking first saves time, but do not skip the dry-roasting step after — that is where the Kerala beef fry gets its signature dark, caramelised crust.
