Beef Fry
Beef fry is an naadan style curry recipe that makes an aesome combo with rice, appam etc. This curry has an excellent aroma of the spice mixture and also tastes too good. It is quite a spicy dish too.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Beef : 2 k gm
- Chili powder : 3 tsp
- Turmeric powder : 2 tsp
- Onion : 3 nos — chopped
- Garlic : 10 or 12 pieces
- Ginger paste : 1 tsp
- Curry leaves : 4 or 5 leaves
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the beef into small pieces and clean them with water.
Step 2
Put chili powder, turmeric powder and salt into the beef and mix them well.
Step 3
Get a cooker. Pour some oil and add the beef mixture and some water to it.
Step 4
Cook them for some time till it becomes dry.5) Take a pan. Pour some oil and add chopped onion, garlic, ginger paste and curry leaves to it. Scatter a small amount of salt. Stir them for a while.
Step 5
Add the cooked beef to it followed by a few water to it.
Step 6
Stir the mixture continuously till the whole water becomes dry and all the mixture get mixed well.8) Add some more curry leaves and off the gas stove. 9) Put the beef fry in a plate and serve it. You can use them with chapattis or dosa.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
