- Curry leaves, a few

- 4 nos Green chillies
- 1/2 Of Garlic
- Ginger A small piece
- 1 inch Cinnamon (Karugapatta)
- 2 nos Cloves (Grambu)
- 5 nos Shallots (Kunjulli)
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing beef chops, first wash well the lump of meat and slice into very thin, wide strips.
Step 2
Beat one side of beef strip with the blunt side of a knife so the strip is crushed but not broken.
Step 3
Grind the ingredients for grinding: pepper powder, green chillies, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and shallots to a fine paste.
Step 4
Place a pan on the stove and add crushed beef strips, ground masala paste, vinegar, curry leaves and required salt. Mix together and cook in low heat until done and the water has evaporated completely. Set aside.
Step 5
Get a frying pan and heat some oil. Fry the onions until golden brown. Remove half the browned onions and set aside.
Step 6
To the fried onions in pan, add green chillies and fry. Add cooked beef strips one by one and fry until crispy brown.
Step 7
Beef chops are ready and garnish with fried onions and potato finger chips if available.
Tip
The coconut pieces should get slightly crispy along with the beef. They add a textural contrast that makes the dish.
