Aval Ladoo
A traditional Kerala sweet that balances richness with restraint. Made with jaggery, coconut, and a careful hand, the sweetness is warm rather than overwhelming — the kind of flavour that lingers.
Ingredientsfor 10 servings
- 1 cup Aval
- 2 cup Milk Condensed
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 10 Grm Nuts and raisin
- 2 tsp Ghee
Preparation
Step 1
Fry aval well.
Step 2
Grate the aval.
Step 3
Mix the coconut in condensed milk.
Step 4
Mix the grated aval to that mixture. 5)Fry the nuts and raisin in ghee and add it that mixture. 6)Make ball shape off that mixture.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
