Ari Unda(Rice Balls)
A one-pot rice dish that brings together grains, spices, and vegetables or meat in a single satisfying meal. The rice absorbs every flavour in the pot and comes out fragrant, colourful, and complete.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 Of Coconut — grated
- 1 cup Sugar according to your preferred sweetness
Preparation
Step 1
Wash & drain rice & keep on news paper for 5 mts to drain water fully.
Step 2
Fry rice until all the rice allow to crackles.
Step 3
Set aside to become cool.
Step 4
Grind the rice to a fine powder. Add little water to sugar and boil until a thick syrup is formed.
Step 5
Mix rice flour with coconut & sugar syrup.
Step 6
Make small balls.
Step 7
Rice balls are ready to serve.
Step 8
Keep in airtight container.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents the grains from breaking.
