Almond Stuffed Dates Fritters

- 1 cup Maida
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 10 nos Dates
- 10 nos Almond
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 nos Egg
- Salt pinch
- Oil — for deep frying
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Make a slit on one side of the date, remove the seed and replace with almond. Like this prepare all dates.
Step 2
Get maida in a bowl and add egg, sugar, cardamom powder, salt and water as needed. Stir everything together thoroughly and make a smooth thick batter.
Step 3
Dip each dates in the batter.
Step 4
Fry in hot oil the stuffed dates till golden brown.
Step 5
Almond stuffed dates fritters are ready. Serve with tea.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
