Easy Tomato Rasam
Rasam is good for health.it will cure cold and good for stomach.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 2 Tomato
- 5 Garlic
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 5 Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Tamarind paste
- 1 cup Water
- 2 Red chilli
- 5 Curry leaves
- 5 Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
Preparation
Step 1
Boil 1 cup of water and add chopped tomatoes and tamarind paste, let it bubble for 2 minutes.
Step 2
In another vessel add oil and mustard when it allow to crackles add red chilli and curry leaves, cook for 1 minute.
Step 3
Grind garlic, coriander leaves, pepper and cumin seeds in mixer.
Step 4
Next, add this ground mix to the vessel cook for a minute.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water to this and let it bubble for 2 minutes. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida. let it bubble for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Add salt and let it bubble for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Now rasam is ready to serve with hot rice.
Tip
Toast the cumin seeds lightly before grinding for a deeper, nuttier flavour in the paste.
