Easiest Tasty Chicken Curry
As the name suggests, chicken curry is a curry dish that originates from the Indian subcontinent. curry is made up of an onion-garlic-ginger-tomato base sauce and flavored with a variety of aromatic spices.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 kg Chicken
- Curry leaves Plenty
- Ginger Big piece
- 6 Cloves garlic
- 11/2 tbsp Whole pepper
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seed
- 3 nos Onion
- 3 nos Tomato
- 6 nos Green chilly
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Chilly powder
- 11/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup Hot water
- Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and clean the chicken. Cut it into medium size pieces.
Step 2
Put all these 4 ingredients(ginger,garlic,pepper,fennel) in a mixer grinder and paste it.
Step 3
Get a non stick pan and heat oil,then add ginger garlic pepper fennel paste,cook well.
Step 4
When raw smell disappears,add sliced onion,green chilly and salt.cook well.
Step 5
When the onion becomes lightly browned add all powdered masalas.Stir everything together thoroughly and give it a good stir until the raw smell of the masala goes off.
Step 6
Next, add tomato and Fold everything together gently.
Step 7
Finally add chicken pieces into masala and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 8
Add water and close the pan.let it go for 15-20 minutes in medium flame, stirring occasionally.
Step 9
By that time you can see the gravy to be dark brown in colour and oil will be coming out.Then turn off the heat.
Step 10
Serve it with pathiri,appam,chappathi etc.
Tip
Taste the gravy before adding the main ingredient. It should be well-seasoned and balanced on its own — the protein or vegetable will dilute it slightly.
