Chapath
Another version of pan cake made in kerala style, it is very soft and for kids breakfast.
Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- Maida 2.5 tbsp
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Egg 1 no
- 5 tbsp Milk 4
- 3 Drops Vanilla essence 2
- Ghee 1 tsp
- Nutmeg powder 1 pinch
- Cardamom powder 1 pinch
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl beat the egg, add sugar and ghee then again beat well.
Step 2
Add maida powder slowly while mixing. Then add cardamom,nutmeg powder and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
Add milk and vanilla essence Stir everything together thoroughly and keep for 5 min.
Step 4
Heat a fry pan and pour the batter.
Step 5
Heat the both sides till it turns to brown color.
Step 6
Serve it hot and it is very soft and delicious for kids breakfast.
Tip
Grinding spices fresh makes a noticeable difference. Pre-ground powders lose their punch within weeks. Buy whole, toast lightly, and grind as you need.
